Here you'll be able to read about Jack's latest projects. DECEMBER 2007: Recording has now concluded on the audio adaption of the Importance of Shoes, directed by Jenny Runacre and produced by Mariele Runacre Temple, where original cast members Jack and Hayley Doherty were joined by Daniel Rodriegez and Sinead Beary. Jack also has taken part in the recording of A Funny Old Business for the Wireless Theatre Company, playing The Prop Comic, and has also joined WHEn's Writer's Emsemble Programme project, where public performances of new scripts are presented by actors to audiences for feedback. Jack is specifically involved The Station Chief, written by Richard Appleby and is being overseen by Julia Stubbs.
OCTOBER 2007: The Importance of Shoes continues it successful run by finishing at the Catford Broadway, London this October. Afterwards the production will be adapted for audio by the Wireless Theatre Company for free MP3 download in early 2008.
JUNE 2007: Jack will be appearing in The Importance of Shoes as Sebastian, directed by Timothy Hughes, written by Jay Johnston and produced by the Weaver Hughes Ensemble (also known as WHEn Theatre) alongside Robbie Byrne, Hayley Doherty and Emily Juniper.
MAY 2007: We're delighted to announce that FROZEN was awarded second place in the LOST Theatre Competition for 2007. Judge Adrian Brown praised the production for it's "Excellent, writing, excellent production, excellent acting and excellent direction." Congratulations to the whole team for making it such a successful end to a very long run!
MARCH-APRIL 2007: Jack will (once again!) be taking to the stage as Tom, with Josephine Hart one more time for a one-night only revival of FROZEN, which is now part of the LOST One-Act Theatre Festival, where it has been nominated for Best Overall Play, Best Directing (for Jenny Runacre) and Best Writing (for Gareth Parker and Andrew Swann). FROZEN will be performed on the 24th April 2007, at the TABARD THEATRE, Turnham Green, London. Tickets are available through the Tabard's website. However, the organiser's would like to stress that as FROZEN is appearing with a production of PHAEDRA, audiences are politely asked to attend both shows that night - so it's two productions for your time! Tickets are £11/£8 concessions.
FEBRUARY 2007: After the Christmas and New Year break, production began with Jack featuring once again as the mysterious Tom, in a new version of FROZEN, produced by Mariele Runacre-Temple for the Wireless Theatre Company in association with 720 Productions. This new production saw the original theatrical script adapted for radio, and with Jack, the original cast; Josephine Hart, Peter Davis and Terry Wade, reprising their roles for this exciting new project, directed by Jenny Runacre. Post-production is now underway, and we will soon be able to let you know where to find a copy!
NOVEMBER 2006: FROZEN concluded it's run at the Etcetera Theatre and receiving many favourable reviews and good audiences. 720 Productions are now in discussions with other parties about the project and we hope to have more news in the next few months... stay tuned.
SEPTEMBER 2006: It's been a while, but Jack's been busy... Final details are now in place to allow his theatre company, 720 Productions, first professional piece, FROZEN, to take to the stage this Autumn playing the role of Tom, opposite Josephone Hart as Laura, with terry Wade and Peter Davis in supporting roles. This world premiere will take place at the Etcetera Theatre, Camden. Jack has also turned writer on this show, which will run for three weeks from October 17th - 5th November 2006. January 2006 : Due to Equity issues, Gareth has now changed his performance name to JACK BOWMAN, but will still be writing under his old moniker. However, he's hit the ground running and has been developing a new script for production later this year called FROZEN. More details will be made available shortly!
Jack finished 2005 with a short film called U OWE ME, and an appearence alongside David Benson (Think No Evil of Us, Little Britain) in David Benson's Haunted Stage, but he's not saying who he appeared as... |
October 2005: -----------GOODBYE!
As you can see, after a long period of techincal difficulty, this website is, once again, up-and-running with a new name (www.jackbowman.co.uk), and a new, refined look. I apologise to those of you who may have been trying to access the site over the last three months only to find the site down, but rest assured, it's business as normal from now on.
